Welcome to the next version of Runtime Micro, a website for Makers and Electronics Hobbyists.
I've had plenty of issues transitioning from Drupal-7 to Drupal-10. Drupal is a CMF (Content Management Framework). Its different from other CMS type website builders in that Drupal has always had;
- Taxonomies
- Custom Content Types.
Those make a massive difference in layouts and development. Now other big name CMS website builders are adding those same capabilities.. Back in 2015 when I was scrambling around trying to choose a tool to use, I finally learned about the power of Drupal.
Runtime Micro has been around since 2016. It presents a hybrid build approach called Permanent Solderless (PS). PS combines wire-wrapped headers with Solderless Breadboards. This approach offers flexibility with neat appearance and no rat's nest of wires. Yet, its fairly easy on your pocketbook. Projects shown here are built using Permanent Solderless tactics and tools. You'll still need a soldering iron but only for about 1% of your connections.
AI and The D7-D10 Transition
The transition has taken years. Its been an on-going battle to find a web host to help me with Drupal and its quirks. The amazing thing was -- the help I needed was in the Copilot AI.
Copilot helped me accomplish all sorts of Yaml, CSS, HTML, Visual Basic and PHP coding. In addition, Copilot knows Drupal back to front and guided me making my first extension module. Copilot was my trusted source for advice on Json-LD Schema which is meta-information that underlies website content. Its been a wild ride and finally I have the website coming to life on a new server platform.
Another AI I've used is ChatGPT. It delivered numerous Images you'll see on this website. And its also great at Drupal, JS, Vb.net and tons of languages I can't remember.
Because I knew the window was closing on my old website being a target for hackers, I've held back certain Content as there just wasn't time to prepare and publish during transition. Once I have the kinks out, you'll find additional Articles and Videos aimed at Arduino and other Electronics subjects. I
For my regular visitors, let me say Thanks for your interest in Runtime Micro! Hope it helps you in some way...
